Her film career all started when a 12-year-old Ines went to audition for a fast-food commercial with a friend of hers. She was cast in the commercial, which led to her film debut. It was hard not to notice the hazel-eyed brunette, and director Carlos Saura sure took notice. He knew she'd be perfect for the role of Elvira in the 1987 film, El Dorado. Just as her career as an actress was beginning to take off, Ines won Elite's "Look of the Year" contest. Showing that beauty does not go further than brawn, Ines chose to continue with academics and put her modeling career aside. Her refusal to sign the modeling contract with Elite and instead receive her university degree from La Sorbonne is a condemnable act; Ines, however, did not have much to worry about, as she had a string of opportunities lined up for her after graduation. In the meantime, the Spanish beauty did appear in several movies. She landed the role of Giovanna in 1988's Johanna D'Arc of Mongolia and played Beatrice in 1990's Fuga dal Paradiso (Escape from Paradise).
